I led the design of the Levyl app, shaping its strategy and user experience from the ground up. I applied strategic frameworks, defined key user outcomes, and facilitated workshops to align the team. Through collaborative brainstorming and iteration, we refined ideas and delivered a polished user-centered design.
Overview

Levyl is a hiring platform designed to improve access to opportunities for early talent and marginalized groups. It makes the hiring process fairer, faster, and more inclusive by reducing bias and unnecessary friction
helping employers and candidates connect more efficiently. With anonymized speed interviewing, candidates are judged on their skills and potential—not their background—helping employers find the right fit while creating more equitable opportunities for everyone..
My Initial Approach:

To achieve this, I conducted interviews with hiring managers and job seekers to understand their needs, pain points, and expectations. As a team, we then created empathy maps to capture user perspectives and mapped out the hiring journey with key stakeholders. This process ensured that everyone had a shared understanding of user insights, helping to align the design with real-world challenges and opportunities.

Results Pending Measurement
The impact of the platform is still being evaluated, with key metrics and performance data yet to be fully measured.

- Candidates:
Increased Access – Easier face-to-face interactions with employers as resumes are a lot of time ignored by hiring managers due to bias and time to go over each application.
Fairer Opportunities – Reduced selection bias through anonymized evaluations.
Faster Hiring – Streamlined process for quicker decisions.
Stronger Career Growth – Networking opportunities for future roles.

- Employers:
Accelerated Hiring – Faster screening and selection process as they can interview up to 6 candidates in one hour and Levyl already pre selected candidates with their IA pre-screening process.
Significant Cost Savings – Thousands saved on sourcing and recruitment efforts.
Stronger DEI & Employer Brand – Improved diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives while enhancing brand reputation.
